Fair!

Another week is flying by and I can tell by the buzz in the air that the Erin Fall Fair has arrived!

We have been quite busy in Room 18... getting things finished that need to be finished....starting new things and working away on others.

Here's a glance at our week so far :

In Language , the kids have been working through their first "four square" essay.  We have been working on building/writing proper paragraphs - with detail, and then organizing those paragraphs into an essay style piece of writing.  We have been working on "introduction" and "conclusion" paragraphs and making sure that they are linked properly to those organized paragraphs.  Rough copies were due today..... and once those rough copies have been self-edited, peer edited, and I have read through them , the students move onto a good copy.  Good copies can be typed or written, and are due on Tuesday.

In Math, we had a math quiz on Monday and although I haven't marked all of the tests - most kids were quite successful thus far! Great job!  Quizzes will be returned on Tuesday.  We have moved onto Internal Angle Theory of triangles, and will be working on this for the next week.

In History we are moving through the causes of Confederation, and how Canada reached the signing of Confederation in Charlottetown.

In Phys-ed/ Health, we have finished soccer and have moved onto European hand ball.  In health, we continue on with healthy eating. The kids have been much better at bringing in proper gym attire this week - awesome!

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving!  Enjoy the time with family and friends!
