Congrats on another great week 8D!
The Remembrance Day assembly went well today - Abby and Alana read a poem at today's service and did a wonderful job.
Next week, the grade 8's in 8E, 8C and 8D will be starting a novel study, where the kids read a novel, work on activities in literature circles, and complete a culminating final activity based on the novel. The kids will find out on Monday morning what novel they are reading - they voted on their top two choices and I will try to do my best to honour their wishes! Mr. Primeau will be reading End of Days by Eric Walters, Mrs. Reilly will be reading The Girl Who Owned a City by O.T. Nelson, and I will be reading Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
The class has been using UGCloud a little bit lately, and I would like for the students to log in an start browsing and using the cloud to its fullest potential. I have posted a discussion and a health activity.
Progress Reports are coming home on Thursday. Please review these with your child. Interviews are to be scheduled the following Thursday night and all day on Friday. I am looking forward to seeing all of you, and discussing your child's progress.
Due on Monday : good copy of Personal Essays, rough copy/ organizer for Fathers of Confederation history assignment.
Take care,
Miss Waddell
