What's going on???

Well - it seems like we will be off and running from now...until June!

Here we go!!!

Our language program looks like this :

March/April : writing magazine/news articles....working on our "inventions" media activities
April/May : finishing our magazine/news articles and starting our speeches (grade 8 speech competition in late May!)... finishing our media activities
May/June : finishing speeches and writing argumentative essays
June : a class novel study and a grade 8 trip related assignment

Math :

For the next three weeks we are studying circles! Circumference, radius, diameter, pi....and all things circles.
The kids will be getting their integer tests back by mid-week.

Geography :

 Anywhere On Earth presentations are being presented starting tomorrow. We are moving on to learning about population density and human settlement patterns.

Art :

We will be trying our hand at cartooning!!

Phys-ed :

We are finishing floor hockey and badminton and we will start lacrosse and ultimate Frisbee soon. In our health studies, we are focused on life-saving first aid like CPR.

8th -9:15 -Bax Family assembly -K to 8 -they support an aboriginal community in Manitoba and are going to tell us about it!

9th -Loretta Penny -9:00-K to 6  11:45 -7/8

10th -Isabelle Baird assembly -4-8

11th -School Spirit Day -wacky socks/wacky hair/student/staff game /school photo
